Dr. Wolin, a second-generation orthopedic surgeon, founded the Center for Athletic Medicine in 1991. Dr. Wolin earned his M.D. degree from the University of Illinois, completed his residency at Northwestern University Medical Center and served as Chief Resident at Children’s Memorial Hospital.  He completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and completed his fellowship in Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Knee Surgery at Newton-Wesley Hospital in Newton, MA.  He is Board Certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.  Dr. Wolin is actively involved in sports medicine research and has been published in numerous medical journals.  He serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, is the team physician for the Chicago Fire Soccer team and the DePaul Demons. Dr. Wolin also on the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee for the Illinois High School Athletics.  He is a member of the Illinois Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame
